“Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat” Campaign was observed at Bangladesh Bhavana Auditorium, Visva-Bharati, on 2nd August 2026 (Sunday). Visva-Bharati participated in the nationwide “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat” campaign, a youth movement launched jointly by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, in pursuit of the vision of a Drug-Free India by 2047. As part of this national initiative, the institution’s central event was held at the Bangladesh Bhavana Auditorium, Visva-Bharati, on Sunday, 2nd August 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The programme formed part of a simultaneous observance being organised at more than 10,000 locations across the country. The event was graced by a virtual address from the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India to participating youth nationwide. Arrangements were made for a live telecast of the Prime Minister’s address at the venue. More than 700 students and faculty members of the University attended and participated in the programme. The Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, Visva-Bharati was present. Almost 3000 students and members of staff have already taken the online pledge for "Nasha Mukt Yuva" toward Viksit Bharat@2047. The number is still increasing.
