6603-174 STANLEY No. 55 combination plane IOB. Looks to be a Type 1 with two patent dates on skate, tall chestnut box with sliding lid has no label and has been relacquered. Some chips in one bottom corner and in lid groove at top, a few dings. Plane has no cam rest and missing one fence screw, but it looks like everything else is there including screwdriver. Wood on one handle has split and repaired with cloth tape. Nickel plating 80%, small crack in wood at base of tote, couple small chips in rosewood fences. Has four cutter sets in original boxes, labels 70-85%, blades look to be all there but don't quote me on it. Good (NHF249) 400-800 6603-175 STANLEY No. 46 combination plane. Type 10 or 11, missing slitter, nickel plating 90%, few chips on horns of tote, fence and knob have light wear, has one set of 12 cutters in plain wood box with ink stamped "One Set Cutters." Good (OVR148) 40-80 6603-176 STANLEY No. 45 combination plane. Type 3, no long rods but has short rods, depth stops, and slitter. Japanning 50%, wood good except for a few chips at base of knob and tote. Has one cutter set in black stained box and no label. In user made wooden storage box. Good (BHR318) 75-150 6603-177 STANLEY No. 45 combination plane. Type 3 or 4, short rods and one depth stop only, missing front depth stop screw and fence screws (one is replacement thumbscrew). Chip at base of knob and crack in tote with chips at tip. Traces of japanning. In user made wooden storage box. Good- (BHR142) 40-80 6603-178 SARGENT No. 1080 combination plane. Has 21 cutters in cloth roll plus one in the plane, cutters mostly clean with a spot or two of mild pitting. Has only long rods but one short rod is in cloth roll too. Also has tattered original instructions with taped parts and one part of front page missing. Very small chips to tip of tote, some wear and crackling of lacquer, knob has some dings. Rosewood fence has light groove on inside, otherwise ok. A few spots of light rust. Good (COL219) 50-100 6603-179 STANLEY No. 45 combination plane. Type 8, long rods and one cutter only, has both depth stops but no slitter, someone has repainted all but bottom strip of fence with silver paint.
