Futterby Friendly - Lancaster, PA - 11/6/2021 How is your garden doing? I have .30 acre, chipping away at the lawn. I have the 3 sides of my back yard planted with layers, about 20 feet deep. There are black cherry, shagbark hickory, oak, cedar, white pine, holly, sassafras, pawpaw, persimmon, and other trees. Dogwood, viburnum, ninebark, coralberry, serviceberry, chokeberry, alder, spicebush, buttonbush, hazelnut and other shrubs. Then cup plant, obedient flower, asters, bee balm, joe pye weed, and lots of other perennials. What pollinators have visited? Bees, flies, butterflies, skippers, beetles, wasps What do your garden and pollinators mean to you? My garden and the pollinators in it are a source of enjoyment to me. I can wonder around for hours, just looking at all the life. It makes me feel good to give the bugs what they need.
