Prior to her current position of Associate Editor in the Publi-cations Division of the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association, Sandy was a music critic and freelance journalist. Among the many publications that have featured her writing are the Los Angeles Times, the Boston Phoenix, the San Francisco Bay Guardian, and Rolling Stone. Sandy earned her undergraduate degree from Brown University, and later completed her master’s degree in education from Harvard.
