Primarily a Type 1 but front knob doesn't have patent date and cutter adjustment has only one aperture. Japanning 50%. Good (LHD89) 75-150 6404-018 KEEN KUTTER No. K5-1/2C jack plane. Made by Stanley with B casting mark, original cutter with faint mark, crack in right cheek, small chip from end of tote, japanning nearly intact. Good (LHD80) 60-120 6404-019 CHAPLIN'S No. 1205 patented bench plane. Manufactured by Tower & Lyon, corrugated sole, non-adjustable throat, proper original cutter, hard rubber tote. Featuring Steers' patented composite sole with dovetailed rosewood strips to reduce friction, worn at the toe and with some chips gone but above average shape. Tote has been reglued and has a large chip from the end, more problematic is a chip from the top of the left cheek right by the cutter.
